POSITION SUMMARYThe Senior Backend Engineer at Cardone Ventures will be responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Azure relational database systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our enterprise application. This role will also be instrumental in the design and maintenance of the web services and relational database tier that supports our productivity and collaboration platform for a thousand businesses and a quarter-of-a-million users. You will also implement, configure, maintain, and perform critical SQL Server systems, to ensure the availability and consistent performance of our enterprise applications. This is a "hands-on" position requiring solid technical skills, as well as excellent interpersonal and communication skills.This position will work side by side with the platform's original architect to learn the structure and logic behind the project and work to innovate and adapt new features into the platform as well as troubleshoot performance issues that arise as a result of growth of the platform.ABOUT CARDONE VENTURESOur mission is to help business owners achieve their personal, professional, and financial goals through the growth of their businesses. This company operates nationally and is growing by the day.OBJECTIVESConstruction and modification of tables and stored procedures to provide new and updated functionality to API callsInstallation, Administration and Maintenance of SQL Server InstancesTroubleshoot and optimize data and stored procedure logic with various problems that arise in the day-to-day operations and fix the issuesMonitoring and Performance Tuning; Physical Server Level, Database level (Database settings and options) and query tuning to include index optimizationsDatabase growth vs disk space available, audits, resource monitoring (IO bottlenecks, memory pressure, CPU use)From time to time recover the databases to a specific point of time, as per the requestsWrite, update and maintain Restful API library designed to interface with the SQL stored proceduresCOMPETENCIES3-5 years of database experience and data architecture experienceKeen analysis and organizational skillsAttention to detailAbility to solve problems creatively and efficientlyAbility to communicate effectively with other team members and usersFamiliarity with tools related to data migration, data warehousing, data modeling, data integration, and database design is preferredExperience with C# building middle ware applicationsExcellent multitasking skills and task management strategiesExperience working with the databases in public Clouds, preferably AzureIIS Management and deployment experienceExperience in Agile development methodology & Agile development toolsEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCEBachelor's degree in computer science or related field3-5 years of programming experience. Broad experience designing, programming, and implementing large information systems.
