Job Description:

SUMMARYAssist in the design and development of new products and the improvement of existing products. Ensures customer requirements are met through system design, validation testing and failure analysis. Acts as a central resource for manufacturing, testing, quality, and marketing of products. Assesses potential application of company products or services and offers solutions that meet customer needs. Uses technical knowledge of product offerings to support the team. JOB FUNCTIONS RESPONSIBILITIESDesign new systems and products. Collaborate with sales team to use existing designs within new configurations with the goal of minimizing Engineering time to Market. Use standard concepts and modular design methodology. Utilize past experience and education to make sound decisions in the best interest of the company. Create design templates to improve sales drawing throughput and consistency.Work with Production to maximize efficiencies within system designs, concentrating on modular system concepts.Work with end users and RSMs to facilitate improvements to current designs and operation of equipment.QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related disciplineFive years' experience in the Mechanical Systems Design Field.Solidworks.Hydraulics, electromechanical and systems experience preferred. 3D Parametric Modeling Software experience a plus and Inventor experience preferred.Must be a self-starter and motivated.Must perform well under pressure and able to thrive in fast paced environment.Work closely with Inside sales staff RSMs.Strong customer service orientation (internal and external).Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. Analytical, creative, and collaborative problem solver.
