Job Description:

This position on the software team has direct ownership of and responsibility for the implementation and maintenance of our AWS infrastructure, APIs, and datastores.As part of the software team behind the Happy Ring product, you will collaborate with both technical and non-technical team members across multiple disciplines to ensure that physiological data from the Happy Ring successfully reaches our ML data pipeline, and that the health and wellness insights generated by the algorithms in our pipeline successfully reach patients, healthcare providers, and pharmaceutical partners. You will also help ensure that the integrated services and systems instrumental to the end-to-end customer-facing experience (e.g. CRM, EHR, eComm, 3PL, etc.) are running and executing correctly.Key Responsibilities:You will be working on a serverless tech stack based in AWS, primarily utilizing (Python) Lambdas, API Gateway, CDK, S3, and EC2 to architect and implement APIs (and underlying datastores) to deliver meaningful data to and from customers resulting from their use of the Happy Ring.You will implement, maintain, and monitor health, uptime, throughput, and general reliability of our ML data pipeline and all of its dependencies, outputs, and dependents relying on those outputs (e.g. integrated partner services, our own retrieval formatting APIs, etc.).You will guide other team members, contractors, and partners in best practices for building on these systems.You will help ensure regulatory compliance and best practices are maintained in these systems and the various mechanisms used to access them (e.g. M2M authentication, login mechanisms, etc.)Required Qualifications:5+ years of experience in backend software development2+ years of experience in Python2+ years of experience in AWS (IAM, EC2, CDK, Lambda, etc.)Preferred Qualifications:1+ years of experience implementing & maintaining ML data pipelines1+ years of experience working in the healthcare technology industryReporting Structure:Direct Supervisor: VP SoftwarePositions Reporting to the role: NACollaboration:You will directly collaborate with many members across our team:eCommerce: As one of the primary consumers users of our APIs, you will work directly and regularly with technical and non-technical members of the eCommerce team to ensure that purchasing, 3PL, CRM, and EHR systems and workflows around the Happy Ring product are integrated seamlessly.Research: We have various research team members, both technical and non-technical, who gather clinical data that directly impacts the development and refinement of algorithms in our ML pipeline.Algorithms: You will work directly with technical staff on our algorithms team to ensure successful deployment and reliability of their work in our production pipeline.Mobile: You will also collaborate with our mobile engineering team to ensure the APIs our mobile apps SDKs utilize are properly implemented and meet the needs of mobile users.Partners: You will work with technical members of our partner's teams to understand and develop APIs they can use to gather and interact with data generated by their usage of the Happy Ring.Work Environment:Team is hybrid, with a physical office in Austin, TX. Direct peers are distributed throughout the continental US. Direct Supervisor is based out of the Austin, TX HQ.Benefits:Salary range is starting at $130,000 annually. We are a hybrid environment, therefore, we expect you to be in the office for 3 days of the week.
