Job Description:

ResponsibilitiesDesign each unit according to the design specification, sales design data, or individual customer specificationsCoordinate electrical design with firmwaresoftware engineer so the system will integrate properlyAssess design concepts through theoretical study, breadboard testing, and prototyping, conducting design reviews as neededRelease to Mechanical Engineering section when design has been confirmed, with approved schematics and electrical bill of materialsVerify correctness of final schematics, printed circuit boards, and bill of material.Assist Technical Writer in writing manual and sales bulletin on products designed.Estimate material and engineering effort required on jobs being quoted as assigned by Supervisor.Keep current engineering estimate sheets and work schedules.Generate quotes in response to salesmarketing inputs.QualificationBachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.At least 6 years of electronic circuit design experience.Strong emphasis in digital electronics microprocessor FPGA design, embedded software and Xilinx experience a plusCandidates may be using the following software: Vivado, Altium, MATLAB Simulink, Micro-Cap circuit simulation, LTspice, DymolaTravel as required for training, support of project tasks, product issues, or other design or job related needs
