Headquartered in Carrollton, Texas with a division in Delair, NJ, we manufacture quality products used in America's critical infrastructure industries including but not limited to class 8 trucks, electric vehicles, truck trailers, utility scale solar power, electrical transmission, and numerous commercial construction products.About the Role: The EHS Manager will report to the Division President and will play a vital role in the safe operation of the NJ Division. The primary responsibility of the Environmental, Health, and Safety Manager is to oversee and ensure compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations within the organization, federal, and local laws. Additionally, the EHS Manager will collaborate with internal teams to promote a culture of safety awareness and continuous improvement. Your Responsibilities:Individual will be responsible for leading and championing all aspects of the safety function in a "start-up" operations environment.Daily management and engagement of the line organization involving safe work practice development, evaluation of safe work practice conformance and the evaluation and improvement of operating conditions to reduce risk.Develop and implement required Safety & Health policies where there are existing gaps.Development and delivery of training to support prevention and program initiatives.The position requires significant time on the shop floor engaging line management and department personnel through hands on coaching, training, and reinforcement. Approximately 50% of the candidate's time is expected to be on the shop floor.Be viewed at all levels of the organization as an effective manager and leader that is proactive and challenges the organization in improving plant safety practices and the operating environment without compromise.Develop trust at all levels through sound decisions, actions and commitment to creating a safe work environment at Western New Jersey operations.Develop and manage short and long-term safety plans including annual risk and injury reduction goals.Ensure the organization is compliant with federal, state, and local environmental regulations in areas such as air quality, waste, water, soil, and pollution.Obtain RCRA and DOT certifications to manage and ship hazardous waste offsite for disposal.May act as intermediaries to federal, state, and local government agencies.What You Will Bring: Bachelor's degree in safety management, Safety Engineering or Equivalent is required.Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in safety management with a record of progressive proven accomplishments. The preferred candidate will have a solid track record of successfully managing safety processes within a manufacturing environment.The candidate must possess a fundamental working knowledge and understanding of State and Federal regulations pertaining to OSHA, EPA, ANSI and NFPAThe ideal candidate will have: aluminum extrusion experience andor molten aluminum experience.Work Environment: Responsibilities are carried out in both indoor settings and in the plant, an unregulated environment that experiences extreme temperatures and high levels of noise, including but not limited to other uncontrollable factors.
