As we continue to expand our portfolio, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our organization and play a crucial role in managing the financial operations of the firm. OpportunityThis is a unique and exciting opportunity to join an established alternative investments firm and develop your skills in both fund operations and investment management. The Controller will report directly to the firm's partners, and will be responsible for all fund activities across accounting, finance, reporting, tax, compliance, and investor relations.Job DescriptionThe Controller will be responsible for performing all financial functions for Kinetic, ensuring accuracy, compliance and efficiency in financial operations. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with extensive experience in financial management, accounting, audit, tax and reporting within the venture capital and private equity industry. Key responsibilities will include:Financial Management:Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger entries.Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure the integrity of financial information.Reporting and Analysis:Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for senior management and investors.Provide insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making and investment strategies. Compliance:Ensure compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and relevant laws applicable to venture capital and private equity firms.Collaborate with external auditors to facilitate the annual audit and tax process.Cash Management:Oversee cash flow management and optimize liquidity to support investment activities.Monitor and manage banking relationships, including fund transfers and investment vestment Portfolio Support:Work closely with investment teams to assess the financial health of portfolio companies.Provide financial guidance and support for due diligence processes.Team Collaboration:Collaborate with team members to ensure seamless coordination and communication.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CMA certification required.Minimum of 5 years of experience in a financial role within the venture capital, private equity or public accounting industries.Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax, financial regulations and reporting standards.Proficiency in financial software and systems.Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.How to Apply: Interested candidates should submit their resume to .
