Job Description:

Our client is a busy Medical office located in Tarpon Springs. They are seeking a temporary Claims & Appeals Specialist to join their team. The ideal candidate will be able to prioritize tasks, multitask, and have high attention to detail. Position Responsibilities:Follow up on claims from billing through final resolutionVerify claims status with insurancePrepare and review claims for electronic and hard copy billing resubmissionDenial and Appeal Management on all payersCorrect any billing errors and resubmit claims to insurance carriersReviewing and remittance advice for payment errors, denials, and under paymentsBe courteous and cooperate with patients, visitors, co-workers, and management Qualifications:Strong organizational and communication skillsHigh attention to detail, multitask, and prioritize tasksMust have a minimum of 2 years experience in insurance collections, including submitting and following up on claims from commercial, government, or private insurancesThe ability to read and understand EOBs Claim Adjustment Reason CodesKnowledge of ICD- 10 and CPT codes and Payer medical policiesAbility to identify, track, and report payer denial trends to managementAccounts Receivables for commercial, government, and managed care accounts experienceOutpatient and hospital billing and collections facility billingMust be proficient in MS Office with a focus in ExcelThe ability to work independently and part of a teamNextGen experience is preferred but not required Pay Rate: $20-$22 Hour Hours: 8am - 5pm Monday - FridayAll qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, national origin, age, ancestry, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, marital status, disability, medical condition, genetic information, pregnancy, or military or veteran status.
