The position is a key member of the Commissioning team. This position will also support sales teams for commercial, industrial and utility-scale technical questions on an as needed basis. Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Perform as a lead on smaller Commissioning Projects for PVPerform pre-Commissioning and Commissioning of PV solar inverters achieving the milestones as agreed upon per the customer contractPerform troubleshooting and testing of solar inverters, and LC Units and its components in the field. Use of PQA and oscilloscope is required as neededProvide feedback to the engineering team on possible mechanical and electrical design improvementsLead upgrade projects (software and hardware) in the field and interact with customers to explain the technical scope of the projectWork with customer EMSSCADA engineers to set-up systems communication and parametersCreate or modify Commissioning procedures if there is not one available for troubleshootingParticipate in training customers as requested by the Training ManagerResearch alternative components that can be used in the fieldCoordinate with R&D engineering in China if HQ support is required to complete CommissioningIndependently performs a range of Commissioning tasks involving coordination with Factory Engineering and Customer's engineer.When using contractors on Commissioning sites, act as the Lead to ensure the contractors are submitting daily activity reports as well as JSA reports.Prepare and submit your own Daily Activity Reports as well as Daily JSA Reports.Support development of technical proposal and provide comments on the technical content and level of effort of the proposed scope of workPerform various other tasks as assigned for the successful completion of the Commissioning Process Minimum Requirements:7 plus years of overall experience in an engineering discipline3 years of experience in PV systemsMust possess the ability to work with test equipment and hand tools as requiredMust possess customer service, problem-solving skills, and possess decision making and analytical skillsMust possess effective written and verbal communication skillsMust be able to closely follow instruction and pre-established proceduresSOP to perform the ductions of the jobMust be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, power Point and Outlook)OSHA 10, NFPA 70e, Electrical Safety within 1 year of employmentEducation or Desired License and Certificates:Associate's Degree in an Engineering or Computer Science Discipline from an accredited university or collegeRenewable industry experience is desiredPower Electronics experience is desiredOSHA 10 certificate within 12 months of date of hireNFPA 70e certificate within 12 months of date of hireCompetenciesTechnical problem solvinganalytical skillsStrong Time Management skills with the ability to foresee problems before they ariseStrong Leadership and Management qualitiesAbility to make decisions in a dynamic fast paced environmentSelf-starter, strong initiatives and an excellent communicatorSystem and product level mindsetDetailed-oriented nature and strong initiativeStrong technical support focus and a service oriented individual both with Sales team and customers TravelĀ· 80% PlusWork Location and Status:Full timeNo visalegal sponsorship Compensation:Compensation commensurate with experienceCompetitive benefits package and employee programsStrong personal and company growth opportunities For candidates in the states of California, Colorado, New York and Washington, the anticipated annual base salary for this role is between $90,000 - $110,000. This range does not include any other compensation components or other benefits that an individual may be eligible for. The base salary offered is dependent upon several factors, including but not limited to job-related skills, qualifications, experience, education, location, or other factors related to the role.
