Job Title: Plant Mechanical Reliability EngineerLocation: Mooresboro, North CarolinaStatus of Hire: full-time, direct hire, salaried with bonusPay: $115-135k plus up to 12% annual bonusIndustry: metals, industrial processingmanufacturing*offering full relocation* The purpose of this job is to provide Mechanical Reliability, Process Optimization, and Project Management services on-site.Essential Job Duties:Lead maintenance, equipment reliability, and mechanical process improvement projects in an industrial metals processingindustrial manufacturing environment (247 operation)Act as the mechanical lead for capital and expense projectsCo-ordinate activities between contractors and maintenance personnel in collaboration with the construction managerManage quality of deliverables, and effectively lead the mechanical project teamCreates technical mechanical specifications, prepares procurement inquiry packages, technically evaluates bids, and issues order packages for equipmentCoordinates review of vendor datadrawings, and supervises designers assigned to the projectProvides technical support and guidance on mechanical equipment, selections, installations, and their alternativesSupporting construction activities with technical answersActing as a focal point for technical and work process related questions for EPC firms on outsourced projectsMonitoring and managing work hour estimatesActing as focal point between Purchasing and project team on all questions and coordination of mechanical equipment issuesMentors mechanical discipline designers and engineers in the application of design tools and work processesDesign mechanical scope of the project on time and within budgetEnsures no engineering errors or omissions on mechanical design during constructionRequired Qualifications:A minimum Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering is required8+ years of engineering, maintenance, and plant equipment reliability work-experience in an industrial manufacturing environment (metals, chemicals, oil & gas, processing etc.)Prior experience with leading and supporting Capital or Expense Projects would be a plusPrior experience with any combination of the following list of heavy industrial equipment preferred: furnaces, smelters, boilers, chillers, reactors, distillation columns, agitators, concentrators, vacuum systems, pumps, valves, tanks, material handling systems and conveyors, crushingsorting equipment, chemical mixingbatching, material sortation, casting, etc.Ability to analyze business data and determine key performance indicatorsExcellent problem-solving skills and the ability to determine a course of action quicklyMust be able to wear all safety equipment used in plant and ability to climb stairs and ladders regularlyMust pass a fit and pulmonary test to wear a respirator (use of a respirator will be very rare)**Must be authorized to work in the US regardless of visa transfer or sponsorship**Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug test, physical, and background check to be eligible for hireWe are an equal opportunity employer that recognizes the value of a diverse workforce.
