BECOME PART OF THE BESTS TEAM ON THE NORTH SHORE.Position Overview: Therapist is responsible for performing Patient care activities in our new state of the art facility as directed by the attending physician, Medical Director and Clinical Director. Heshe will provide group therapy as ordered by the Clinical Director in accordance with BSAS Group regulations. Collaborates with the Treatment Team in the formulation of the Treatment Plan and assists in coordinating discharge planning. Therapist will maintain open communication lines with facility staff, attending clinicians and physicians, patients and families. Counselor Liaisons with community agencies, vendors, and payers of health services. Interacts with local and community relations in a manner that enhances the public relations to the facility.Benefits include 100% company paid Medical, Dental and Vision, Competitive Pay and Time Off, directly across from Wilmington Commuter Rail Stop.  $5,000.00 Sign on Bonus.This is a 9am - 5pm, 40 hour position with one weekend day required.Education: Graduate from an accredited college or university with a minimum of master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or health-related field, with specialization in art or music therapy.LicensureCertification: Licensed, Licensed Intern, or Certified by the State preferred. Master's level education may be substituted for licensure. CPR certification preferred.Experience: A minimum of 1- 2 years' experience in chemical dependency - psychiatric setting. Working knowledge of a 12 step treatment model.Knowledge and training required at time of hire:    Knowledge of the Principles and Practices of the discipline.Knowledge of Joint Commission Standards. Demonstrates Proficiency in Communication & Written skills.Knowledge of State & Federal Statutes Regarding patient Confidentiality laws.Knowledge of Drug-Free Workplace Policies. Knowledge of Workplace Violence.Specific responsibilities related to position:Actively participates in Interdisciplinary Treatment Plan meetings.Shares pertinent information with the team as obtained from the Patient's family, or others as indicated throughout the program.Attends daily and weekly staffing meetings per schedule, attends daily treatment team meetings (rounds).Evaluates the impact of therapeutic interventions upon the therapeutic milieu.Facilitates group therapy in accordance of BSAS regulation.Performs individual therapy with patientfamily.Documents the assessment of patient progressregress and interventions provided in the medical record, on an ongoing basis.Recognizes, responds to and assists in psychiatric crisis situations and provides the intervention necessary.Responds and assists in medical emergency situations as directed and municates effectively with patients, staff, and physicians.Provides Patients with education and instruction on Advance Directives.Attends and participates in monthly Program Staff meetings as scheduled.Adheres to policies and procedures.Meets deadlines in a concise, timely manner.Assures compliance with expectation of attendance to training.Responsible for continued education in the field of Chemical Dependency and pertaining to degree.Understanding of Clinical Note writing in DAP format.Other duties as assigned.
