Job Title:Environmental Health & Safety EngineerLocation:Chelmsford, MAPay:$32 - $47HR BOEPosition Type:Contract to Hire - First shift Flexible hours.Start time 6 am - 8 amJob DescriptionRole and ResponsibilitiesSupport the local satellite sites (Chelmsford, Norwood, Boston) with EHS culture and complianceAssist with the design, implementation, and maintenance of the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) management system to exceed regulatory, corporate and industry requirements and support the ongoing compliance with ISO 45001 ISO14001 & RBA Standard.Manage EHS procedures and developpresent training.Support site staff in developing safe work plans for complex tasks involving both employees and contractors.Problem solvingPositive Management skills to keep up morale.Represent EHS requirements in technical design reviews of engineering projects.Perform periodic evaluations to ensure compliance with safety and environmental permits, plans, policies, and regulatory vestigate the root cause of EHS-related events and ensure the implementation of effective corrective and preventive actions.An interest in growing your career in a fast-paced work environmentBe a key force in a positive, proactive, and integrated EHS culture.Present technical information to the management team and be the primary backup to the EHS managerQualifications and Education Requirements• Project Management Skills• Knowledge of REACH, CLP, GHS and hazardous chemicals and chemical risk assessment.• Experience working on COMAH site and compliance required• Previous experience developing, implementing, and managing ISO14001, OSHAS 18001, andor ISO 45001 EHS Management systems, preferably within a manufacturing or related environment.Education and or ExperienceBachelors or Higher relevant degree in Science, Engineering or EHS, with at least 5 years of experience in areas related to environment, health, and safety.Previous experience developing, implementing, and managing ISO14001, OSHAS 18001, andor ISO 45001 EHS Management systems, preferably within a manufacturing or related environment.Experience conducting TrainingsComputer skillsProject Management skills, developing projects, building project teams, and implementing EHS projectsCost Effective and budgeting experiencePreferred SkillsCertified Safety Professional (CSP) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP) certification is preferredEqual opportunity employer minoritieswomenveteransdisabled.
