Job Description:

Blodgett, a leading manufacturer of commercial ovens, is seeking a Controls Engineer to work collaboratively with colleagues, corporate partners, and third-party contractors in bringing a touchscreen controls platform to life. The ideal candidate should be proficient in Linux systems, Crank or Android Studio, and have experience in User Interface (UI) design. Responsibilities:Interpret design requests and review designs in the context of the productTesting and quality assurance of design features and specificationsCollaborate with various departments and supply chain vendorsDesign, analyze, implement, and troubleshoot hardwaresoftwareInterpret wiring diagrams, schematics, and simple circuit design analysis (preferred)Document design features and specificationsPreferred Skills & Qualifications:Minimum 2-year technical degree: Computer Science, Computer Engineering Technology, Software Development (Hardware Engineer, Software Engineer, Information Technologies)Knowledge of C, Python, Lua, JavaSoftware DevelopmentExperience in Computer Networking preferredDetail-oriented with logical thought processes; storyboardingExperience working in a Manufacturing environment is beneficialHigh level of professional communication skills (orally and written)Commitment to maintenance of a clean, organized and safe work environment.Proficient in Linux Systems, Crank or Android StudioExperience in User Interface (UI) designIoT Implementation experience preferred, with the ability to consult with Powerhouse DynamicsAbility to work individually with minimal supervision, as well as part of a team, and virtuallyWillingness to assist other departments as directed.Blodgett is an equal opportunity employer and welcomes applicants from all backgrounds.
