My client needs an Electrical Controls Engineer who will design, troubleshoot, and PLC program electrical controls for current and new industrial automation equipment being introduced. Candidates must be flexible, results-oriented problem-solvers. Projects generally vary from one to the next, therefore our engineers must thrive on variety and enjoy taking on new challenges.My client is a global company specializing in the production of heavy-duty no-bake foundry equipment and provides sales, service, and support to the USA and numerous countries worldwide. We are continually growing both domestically and internationally, and we are searching for a qualified candidate to fill our Electrical Controls Engineer position.Position responsibilities include but are not limited to:Create and maintain electrical drawings for new and current modelsLayout of electrical control cabinetsWork with engineering department to keep systems current with technology and electrical standardsWrite PLC programs for industrial equipmentAssist production with proper techniques for electrical control panel wiring and PLC programmingAssist with design and development of electrical software programs for new and upgrades of current productsWork with customers, service team, and engineering team on solving technical problems and trainingSome customer support travel required (10%); daily on-siteQualifications:Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering BS or equivalent experience preferred.5 years of experience with industrial controls and system integrations with a strong focus on PLC software programming.OEM Circuit design, PLC programming software, Allen Bradley preferred, Siemens a plus. Feedback control systems, particularly sampled data acquisition systemsServo designdevelopment and troubleshooting experience of advanced motion control systems including multi-axis, and coordinated axis applications is a plus.Advanced knowledge of AutoCAD, Microsoft Office packages (Word, Excel, Outlook).Familiarity with an ERP System, SAP a plusGood understanding of domestic & international electrical codes (NEC, NFPA79, IEC60204-1).Authorized to work in the US and pass a background check.Must be able to: sit andor standwalk for extended periods of time; navigate stairs and congested workspaces several times daily; bend, kneel, & reach overheadMy client offers medical, dental, vision, life and long-term disability insurance on the first day of employment; company-paid short-term disability insurance; 401(k) enrollment after 90 days with up to 4% employer matching; PTO; and paid holidays.
