The Treasury Analyst is responsible for coordinating financial data, transaction gathering, journal entry generation, reconciliations, financial analysis, and reporting related to cash and sales functions. The position maintains and processes reports for management relating to store deposits, returned checks, and various cash items. The Treasury Analyst will also be responsible for supporting bankingtreasury activities.Key Roles and Responsibilities: Pull and record daily funding for Credit Cards.Record and clear Disbursements daily through banking institution.Maintain cash drawer accounts including researching variances and recording necessary journal entries for all Canadian accounts.Download, match, and reconcile daily store sales and daily bank deposits daily.Pull Daily Tender and update reportgraphs, including Canadian tender for foreign currency.Research and resolve store and bank discrepancies daily.Prepare and post journal entries to correct discrepancies as needed.Post accounting transactions to proper general ledger accounts.Perform the month-end bank reconciliations according to the month-end closing schedule.Prepare reports associated with chargebacks, returned checks, and other items monthly.Maintain all chargeback schedules and journal entries for loss.Process and maintain customer refunds to include researchcancellations of payments.Process new vendor setups.Work closely with other departments on various customer issues.Assist manager as backup on daily tasks and cash projection when needed.Assist fellow team members with job functions. Qualifications: Associate's Degree from an accredited college or university.3-5 years of related work experience, preferably in finance or accounting; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Proficient in MS Office programs (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).Experience with pivot tables, v-lookup, and spreadsheet creation.Ability to present information and respond to questions from customers, clients, and other members of the organization.Aptitude in calculating various figures including discounts, interest, commissions, and percentages.Skilled in delivering effective speeches to diverse groups of stakeholders. Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.Self-motivated with strong prioritization skills, adept at multitasking to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
