Job Description:

Primary Job DutiesAssist Director of Finance in timely preparation of monthly financial statements for properties and corporate officesResponsible for the daily operations of payroll, accounts payable, income journal, taxes, and internal controlsPrepare, monitor, and accurately record hotel revenues daily by preparation of the Income JournalMonitoring and control of operations, cash flow and operating forecasts for hotel properties and CorporateMaintain timely and courteous interaction with Department Heads to assure that property operations are on track and under control at all timesWith supervision of Director of Finance hire, train, supervise and develop staff, including coaching, counseling, and disciplinePreparation of monthly bank reconciliations and general ledger account reconciliations for the site and corporate levelEffectively manage and communicate issues related to management of receivables, payables, daily cash balances, and timely deposits of all fundsAssist in providing analytical support and decision-making tools to leadership team to help achieve desired business resultsThis position will be responsible to coach the management team to ensure revenue and profit goals are metProvide strong technical expertise and direction to support the development of the annual business plan, operating budget, forecasts, financial reports, capital expenditure, budget, and profit and loss statementsAssist in the compilation and preparation of the annual budget, forecasts, taxes and other financial reports to provide support thus ensuring accurate, timely information is available for management and ownersAssist in preparing annual budgetAssist with month-end andor year-end closing proceduresPrepare financial reports on a daily, weekly, and monthly basisMonitor records of inventory to control accuracy of supply distributionEducation and ExperienceBachelors degree in Accounting, Finance or related field or equivalent experience and education.CPA (preferred but not required)At least 5+ years of accounting experience in the hospitality industryAt least 3 years of solid supervisory experience at an Accounting Manager or Senior Accountant role providing training and guidance to staff membersHospitality related financial management and accounting experience desirableExperience with our accounting tech stack preferred (Sage Intacct, Mineraltree, Revinate)Proven track record of relationship building with cross-departmental teams fostering an environment of collaboration and team workStrong organizational, analytical, verbal, and written communication skillsJob SummaryWe are thrilled to announce the opportunity for an Assistant Director of Finance who is passionate about the dynamic world of accounting and finance.
