Under supervision, the ADN would be is responsible for coordinating and executing the management of departmental goals focused on improvement, development of health care setting, and initiatives in support of our department and facility strategic goals. Supports collaborative development with various teams to drive operations and process improvements for successful management.Specific Duties and ResponsibilitiesMonitors direct reports' performance related to patient care and nursing practice through data collection and forecasting of departmental, regulatory and quality nursing metrics.Responsible for planning, design, execution and delivery of initiatives, including development of administrative and operational processes that impact patient care.Under guidance, assists in creating templates, tools, monitors, proceduresprotocols and other core documents that assist with clinical care and performance improvement initiativesSupports clinical team processes by utilizing tools and techniques to organize, plan, execute, report and evaluate initiative objectivesDefines milestones, develops and reviews plans and specifications of assigned departmental quality initiatives with details and scope.Prepares and reviews administrative reports and metrics pertaining to staff and patient management and metricsInterprets, manages, summarizes, and presents departmental data, outcomes, results of patient care quality metrics.Consults with the departmental leadership, collaborates with peers and other key stakeholders to provide support and feedback of various operations impacting patient careAttends and chairs departmental and facility meetings to represent the department and report outAssesses nursing services and evaluates patient care through rounding, provides real time feedback and guidance, performs chart reviewPlan, organize, direct, coordinate and evaluate departmental training and education on departmental quality assurance and performance improvement initiativesAssists in preparation of personnel, supply and equipment budgets.Identify opportunities to increase efficiency and quality of care and operational practices as assigned.Minimum Qualifications:1. Licensed and currently registered to practice as a professional nurse in New York State, plus (2) or (3), below.2. Master's Degree in Nursing Administration, Education, Clinical Specialty or equivalent field and five years of satisfactory nursing experience, of which three years shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity; or a Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing and six years of satisfactory nursing experience, four years of which shall have been in a supervisory or teaching capacity.3. A satisfactory equivalent of education and experience.
