Please note, this link is only accessible for MSK employees.Job DescriptionWe are seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) to provide comprehensive care as a Urology Surgical Float to meet the medical and psychosocial needs of our ambulatory urology surgery patients . In this role you will implement and evaluate standards of care, and participate in research necessary to establish exemplary, evidence-based care. In t his role you will care for patients with kidney, bladder, prostate, and testis cancer and work at our Kimmel Center for Prostate and Urologic Cancers or our David H. Koch Center for Cancer Care. Hours: 10-hour shifts, 8 a m - 6 p m, 4 daysweek (flex) Monday-Friday , no weekends, no holidays Location : Kimmel Center and Koch CenterThis role is only available for experienced APPs. We Are:The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will join a team of over 900 NPs and PAs across MSK who are dedicated to delivering compassionate, expert and comprehensive cancer care to patients and families, supporting the mission, philosophy, standards, goals and objectives of the institution and department. You Are: A good decision-maker, with proven success at making timely decisions that keep the organization moving forward Able to work effectively in an environment notable for complex, sometimes contradictory information Adept at planning and prioritizing work to meet commitments aligned with organizational goals Effective at gaining the support and commitment of others by engaging them around your point of view and priorities Flexible in your approach and demeanor in order to align with the shifting demands of evolving circumstances You Will: Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members Provide comprehensive care to urology surgical oncology patients Meet the medical needs of patients Participate in the implementation of patient education and clinical support programs to ensure optimal care throughout the healthcare continuumQualifications needed for an NP candidate are: Current New York State (NYS) and New Jersey State RN and NP licensesregistrations Master's degree in nursing, prescriptive privileges (or eligibility) 2- 3+ years of related clinical experience in an oncology environment, s urgical experience is preferred but not requiredQualifications needed for a PA candidate are: Graduate from an accredited PA program NCCPA certification Active NYS license and New Jersey State license or be qualified for state licensure 2- 3 + years of related experience in an oncology environment , s urgical experience is preferred but not requiredPay Range $136,000-180,000KPlease click to learn more about MSK's compensation philosophy.
