Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)The Arc of Morris, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c(3) organization headquartered in Morris County, NJ, dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals of all ages with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Arc of Morris is the largest provider of services for people affected by intellectual and developmental disabilities and their families in Morris County.Arc Morris, is seeking a part time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for our residential and day habilitation programs. We are seeking someone who can work between the hours of 3pm to 11pm andor 11pm to 7am.This role will be responsible for providing professional nursing care in a variety of settings.Responsibilities:provide healthcare to consumers, includes tube feedings, oral or nasal suctioning, catheterizations (bladder, suprapubic), and IM, IV medication administrationMaintain daily written documentation associated with the provision of health care to consumers.prepare specialized personal care assessments and document personal care proceduresImplement and assist staff in providing in specialized personal care proceduresparticipate in ISP and other meetings as requiredMaintain active communication with familiesguardians and group homes regarding health care issues.Able to provide care to people supported on the weekendsRequirements:Valid New Jersey LPN licenseMinimum of one year related work experience in a healthcare setting requiredClinical skills: documentation of care, medication administration, infection control precautions, assessing patient educational needs, physical assessment, obtaining vital signs, care coordination.Excellent time management skills and ability to multitask and prioritize workExcellent written and verbal communication skillsExperience in a Non-Profit Organization a plus
