Job Description:

The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing nursing care within the appropriate scope of practice to patients. Registered Nurses work under the direction of the Director of Nursing andor Nursing Supervisor and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to identify, assess and respond to a wide range of physical, psychological and social needs of the patient.Job Responsibilities:Maintain a respectful work environmentProvide quality, competent nursing care in a customer friendly mannerProvide ambulatory nursing care to patients in accordance with experience, training, and licensure as it pertains to a variety of assignments across several ambulatory clinic areasImplement nursing care according to policies, procedures, and protocols, and in accordance with identified best-practice standards of carePerform triage duties, either in person or via telephoneAssist withperform medical procedures and treatmentsTransport patients as necessaryRecognize and respond to medical emergencies and unplanned situationsPerform CPR as neededProvide culturally competent health education and counselingRefill prescriptions per protocolDocument all care information, as necessary to maintain an accurate record of nursing actions, patients' reaction to care, resulting patient outcomes, and relevant medical communication with patients in the Electronic Medical RecordStart and maintain intravenous fluidsPromote a safe, equitable, and respectful environment in which concerns can be addressed effectivelyRequired Qualifications:RN license Current CPR certificationCompletion of accredited professional nursing programBSN plus at least two years of experience or a combination of related work education and work experience equal to six yearsMust be able to transport an individual via wheelchair or gurneyDemonstrated commitment to promoting a culture that respects and advances diversity and inclusionOpen to communicating with individuals from a variety of culturesAbility to establish and maintain positive and effective work relationsResident centered thinking, with awareness & sensitivity to resident needs, interests, & abilitiesAbility to meet the physical demands of position, including lifting over 50 lbs. while transferring a residentExcellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skillsWorking knowledge of personal computers and related softwareProven history of good judgment and integrityDemonstrated knowledge of state and federal regulationsPreferred Qualifications:Ability to take initiative and work autonomously, as appropriateAbility to work effectively with multiple internal and external stakeholders to achieve a common goalExperience working with individuals from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgroundsBSNPowered by JazzHReVmFWbj3g2
