Job Description:

1.   OVERVIEWWe are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner or a Physician Assistant to join our team specializing in hyperbaric therapy. As a NPPA in this role, you will be pivotal in providing comprehensive care to patients undergoing hyperbaric oxygen therapy. Your responsibilities will encompass patient assessment, treatment, therapy administration, and collaboration as a team to ensure optimal patient outcomes under the direction of the physician-in-charge.2.   KEY RESPONSIBILITIESA.    Patient Assessment and Evaluation:               i.         Conduct thorough initial assessments of patients considering hyperbaric therapy, including medical history review, physical examination, and diagnostic testing interpretation.              ii.         Evaluate patients' suitability for hyperbaric oxygen therapy based on established criteria and guidelines.B.    Treatment Planning and Administration:               i.         Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy sessions according to established protocols, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the procedure.C.     Collaborative Care and Communication:               i.         Collaborate closely with our physicians, wound care specialists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure continuity of treatment.              ii.         Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary team members to discuss patient progress, treatment plans, and any changes in the patient's condition.D.    Documentation and Recordkeeping:               i.         Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, documenting patient assessments, treatment plans, interventions, and outcomes in accordance with regulatory requirements and organizational policies.              ii.         Ensure thorough documentation of hyperbaric therapy sessions, including treatment parameters, vital signs, and any adverse reactions or complications.3.   QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLSA.    Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.B.    Current NPPA licensure and certification.C.     Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a NPPA, preferably in hyperbaric medicine or wound care.D.    Advantage: Certification in Hyperbaric Medicine preferred (e.g., Certified Hyperbaric Registered Nurse (CHRN), Certified Hyperbaric Specialist (CHS)).E.     Proficiency in performing comprehensive patient assessments.
