One year experience in infusion nursing, and home health experience preferredProvides in home infusions as defined within the scope of practice by the Nurse practice act. Provides quality care to patients requiring intravenous therapy in home or in an alternate setting. Administration and self-administration teaching of specialty pharmacy infusion therapies to patients with rare, chronic, and acute diseases in the home setting, infusion suites or physician officeExpert in accessing, and maintaining SPCPIV, CVAD (PICCMidlines, implanted ports), SCIG, phlebotomy. Follows proper infection control measuresInfusion of IVIG, SCIG, Alpha 1 anti-trypsin products, Biologic Response Modifiers, and enzyme replacement products in the home setting. Administration and training of injectables to patients in the home care settingCoordinates the planning for delivery of nursing care with the Director of Nursing and administers appropriate clinical decisions in the delivery of patient care. Proactively updates clientpatients' POC, health changes, and other related incidentsDemonstrates knowledge of age-specific differences in the patient population including physiological and developmental differences unique to each groupEnsures safe care to patients; adheres to all policies, procedures, and standards, including time management, supply management productivity and quality of serviceWillingness to travel within assigned geographic region. Flexibility to work alternate shifts on short notice and can be on call for field visits as determined by business needsAdministers CPR and other emergency procedures, as necessaryQualifications:Licensed as a Registered Nurse through the State Board of NursingHome health experience preferredMinimum of two years medical surgical or critical careER experienceMinimum of one-year recent infusion experienceProof of current PPD, current CPR - hands-on class requiredWho We Are At NurseCoreNurseCore is more than an agency, we're a family.
