Job Description:

Our Client is seeking a Vehicle Telematics Senior Software Engineer for a W2 only, extendable 9-month contract position onsite in Newark, CA. No 3rd party candidates or inquiries please. This position pays $45-55hr. W2. Responsibilities:Design and develop complex software for supporting cloud communication for Client's production EV.Develop SW to support Mobile App Communication with the car.Use state of the art algorithms and IoT Protocols to implement features. Ensure optimization of software through design reviews and code reviews. Develop a design andor product validation test program to ensure robustness of design. Integrate with different teams such as Cloud, Powertrain, Data Science etc. to realize the project.Required Skills:At least 5-15+ years of automotive industry experience.Strong proficiency in C and C++, and object-oriented design.Strong proficiency in Shell Scripting.Strong IoT Background with Expert knowledge in MQTT. Strong understanding of IPC Mechanisms - Sockets, Message Queues, Shared Memory, etc.Strong Linux Operating System fundamentals. Strong understanding of Data Structures and Algorithms.Strong knowledge of Networking protocols such as TCPUDP.Working knowledge of Automotive Protocols such as CAN, UDS, etc.Experience with writing unit tests.Experience with scripting tools and methods to optimize SW development and testing activities.MSBS minimum in the areas of Computer Science, Computer engineering, Electrical engineering or other related fields or equivalent experience.Desired Skills:Experience in the field of Automotive Telematics Software is a big plus.Experience in scripting languages such as Python is a plus. Pay for this position is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
