An Exciting Opportunity at COTSWORKSCOTSWORKS seeks a Finance ManagerController to support our exciting and growing MilAero market for in-house designed and manufactured optoelectronic products and solutionsThe Finance ManagerController is a critical role that manages finance and accounting requirements for COTSWORKS through providing financial information about all company activities to assist management, its shareholders and other users in making financial decisions that drive business success. The Controller guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring and enforcing policies and procedures; protects assets by establishing, monitoring and enforcing internal controls; and monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting reviews and providing information to external auditors. This role also serves as a consultant for department leaders, advising them of current budgetary information and working with them to execute a fiscal strategy that aligns with the goals of the organization. The individual in this job must possess exceptional leadership, organizational, detail orientation, time management, problem-solving, decision-making, and conflict-resolution abilities. This full-time, salaried position reports to the Chief Financial Officer. Due to classified work at our facility and related access restrictions, successful applicants must maintain U.S. citizenship to be considered for a position at COTSWORKS, INC. (No Green Card or Visa) and work onsite at our Cleveland-area office.COTSWORKS, INC. designs and manufactures rugged optical components and subsystems to operate in harsh environments. Products are utilized worldwide in commercial and military aerospace and tactical, oil and gas, and other industrial markets. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility produces over 100,000 mission-critical rugged optoelectronic and interconnect products yearly. The company maintains a quality program with ISO 9100:2015 + AS9100D Certification and ATEX Compliance.Your tasks include the following:Hands-on leadership of all activities with a small Finance team providing accurate and timely dissemination of financial reports including, but not limited to, internal and external monthly financial statements, annual forecasts, audits, and budgets.Manages the monthly accounting close process, including analytical review of the monthly operating results, to ensure accurate accounting records are maintained.Develops a reliable cash-flow projection and reporting process to effectively manage cash balances and maximize the return on any excess cash balances.Establishes and maintains controls that verify the integrity of all finance and accounting systems, processes, and data.Leads, plans, and supervises the daily activities of employees within the Department while serving as a coach to ensure staff develop to their full work potential. Qualification requirements include:Master of Business Administration, Master of Accountancy, CPA or equivalent work experience required.Ten (10) years of professional business experience in accounting or finance in a manufacturing environment. Five (5) years of accounting or relatable corporate leadership experience, with the ability to lead, manage, coach and motivate people with different skills and character traits. Previous role where maintaining confidential and ethical standards of a CPA has been demonstrated.Experience implementingmanaging complex, global organizational systems for Finance and applying the fundamentals of GAAP.Proficient in common office productivity tools, equipment, and software used to analyze financial information, identify trends, and make forecasts (i.e., Microsoft Suite, Power BI and advanced features of Microsoft Excel, etc.).Analytical approach to gathering data from multiple sources, resolving problems, and reporting detailed and accurate findings for decision making purposes.Strong ability to communicate, present ideas, and explain financial data to executive-level leaders and employees at various levels within an organization (i.e., internally, and externally to vendors and partners).Have we piqued your interest or raised your curiosity?
