Purpose As the Human Resources Intern, you will be responsible for supporting the efforts of the human resources department, including recruiting, onboarding, and Employee Engagement. The Human Resources Intern role is essential in supporting day to day HR functions, impacting Intersurgical Inc. and the clients we support. You'll have the opportunity to learn from the individuals that have played a part in building the business while helping thousands of people worldwide. Responsibilities include: Assist with hourly employee recruiting, onboarding Administer hourly new hire orientation and prepare any documents as needed Maintain locker assignments Coordinate with staffing agencies for temporary employee needs Update Training files as necessary Attend weekly Production meeting to receive departmental updates Support HR initiatives as needed What We're Looking for Enrolled in undergraduate or graduate degree program 0-3 years related experience, excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficient in Microsoft Office products Benefits of this Internship Practical experience with recruiting, onboarding, orientation, and employee engagement Shadowing, mentoring, and training opportunities with experienced HR professionals Proper paperwork offered to fulfill course credit with an institution Requirements Must be able to speak, read and write English Must be able to sit, stand andor walk for extended periods of time Temperature controlled facility with office and light manufacturing environment; non-smoking; safety hazards minimal with daily use of some chemicals; company provided smock and hairnet mandatory in all controlled production areas.
