Company DescriptionSeattle City Flag is a non-profit art and culture organization based in Seattle, WA, dedicated to bringing inclusive public art to the city through civic design.Our vision is to create a more connected and harmonious future by telling the stories of Seattle legacies and ensuring that everyone in Seattle feels dignity and seen through civic art.As a 501(c)3 organization, we operate in downtown Seattle, working to build community and connection through our Seattle art history. We donate all profits from our product sales to King County non-profits focused on mitigating regional homelessness.To learn more, visit our website at DescriptionThis is a volunteer hybrid role to join the board of Seattle City Flag as the Head of Nonprofit DevelopmentKey Responsibilities:Develop and implement strategic plans to secure grant funding from various sources, including government agencies, private foundations, and corporate sponsors.Cultivate and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, donors, and partners to support the organization's goals and initiatives.Lead the organization's efforts in networking and collaborating with other non-profit entities to share resources and best practices.Oversee the creation and execution of fundraising campaigns, events, and donor recognition programs.Represent Seattle City Flag at community events, conferences, and public forums to raise awareness and support for the organization's mission.Guide and mentor staff, fostering an inclusive and productive work environment that encourages growth and development.QualificationsStrong analytical skillsExcellent communication skillsExperience in annual giving and stewardshipAbility to effectively monitor and evaluate programsExperience in nonprofit development and fundraisingKnowledge of the Seattle artistic community is a plusBachelor's degree in a related field, or equivalent work experienceExperience with licensing partnerships and intellectual property is a plus
