We seek the talent of dynamic Business Development Manager who seeks to bring their "A" game to a collaborative team of talented colleagues!As the Business Development Manager for Marcone Plumbing, you will manage complex customers within a specific channel focus (Multi-Family, BreakFix Plumbing Contractors, MRO, Wholesale Distribution, Hospitality) that cross over multiple territories through both spec agencies and direct distribution. Your primary responsibilities include executing strategies and enhancing customer relationships. You will collaborate with Marcone Vice Presidents, and District Managers with the strategy of working closely with the field sales teams to implement initiatives and drive business growth.The ideal candidate is someone who has a strong understanding and experience of the distribution channel sales route to market and has direct experience in the building and construction industry, particularly with multi-location regional accounts. Extensive experience managing, motivating, and evaluating manufacturer representative agencies and distributors to hit their annual goals as a manufacturing rep for Speakman and WolverineBrass.Manage large projects and large multi territory customers across the districts.Implement sales plans, account opportunities, short and long-term goals, strategic initiatives, and measurable outcomes including individual account plans, specification and upgrade recommendations, and sales strategies for Marcone Plumbing products.Build and nurture relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders across the business to retain existing business, secure national specifications, and improve margins.Gain a deep understanding of each strategic account's business and its critical performance metrics, collaborating with the customer to acquire essential information and assess opportunities.Create successful RFPs (Request for Price quotes) and negotiate financial terms to retain and secure future business for Marcone Plumbing.Ensure timely and effective responses to customer needs by mobilizing the organization, facilitating cross-functional involvement, and including relevant departments to benefit the customer.Preferred Job RequirementsLarge national account and sales experience in manufacturing and building products.Minimum Job RequirementsBachelor's degree or equivalent work experienceMinimum of 7 years of proven sales or relevant experienceImplicit understanding of focus channel sales route to market through distributionProficient in MS Office Suites, ability to demonstrate above-average proficiency in Excel and PowerPointAbility to travel 75% or 3 weeks out of the monthWithin 30 minute drive of a major airport in the Midwest What's in it for you?
