Job Description:

The Sr. Human Resources Manager acts as a liaison between Corporate Functions and Distribution leadership, overseeing the day-to-day activities of the HR teams in the distribution centers and manages the organization's HR programs and policies as they apply to employee relations, compensation, benefits, legal, health & safety, performance, talent development, employee engagement, and staffing levels. This position reports to the Sr. Director Human Resources, Distribution Centers.Duties and ResponsibilitiesPhysical On-site role - this is not a work from home positionCollaborates with Senior Leaders, Managers, and Associates resolve employee relations issues.Builds and maintains strong business partnerships with management and employees.Maintains and environment of open communications and access for all employees.Reviews and takes appropriate action on formal grievances, conducts investigations, and seeks to resolves disputes thorough objective investigations while providing recommendations and final decisions on outcome of investigations.Maintains in-depth knowledge of legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partner with legal department as neededrequired.Works closely with corporate legal team and responds to EEOC and other legal close partnership with HR and Finance, assists with employee performance programs that are consistent with corporate and retail organizations, including performance reviews and compensation plans and models.Maintains legal and confidential files as required.Is a champion of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion insuring that policies and programs to attract, retain and promote a diverse workforce throughout the organizationCreate and implement employee recognition and employee morale events.Maintains robust and up to date communications - print, digital, social, both internally and externally.Provides day to day performance management guidance to management (coaching, counseling, career development, disciplinary actions).Coordinates management training in interviewing, hiring, terminations, promotions, performance review, safety, and all compliance training to include Sexual Harassment.Oversees Talent Review sessions and provides a comprehensive review of the talent and succession planning to senior leaders.Writes and delivers presentations to upper management regarding human resources policies and practices.Familiarity with federal and state laws, rules, and regulations regarding employee welfare, safety, health and benefits, nate interest in and desire for continuous learning and personal development.Works closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale, increase productivity and retention.Advises management in appropriate resolution of employee relations issues.Responds to inquiries regarding policies, procedures, and programs.Identifies training needs for business units and individual executive coaching needs.Analyzes trends and metrics in partnership with HR group to develop solutions, programs and policies.Regular attendance, physical on-site, is an essential function of the jobAdditional duties as assignedRegular attendance is an essential function of the job.ScopeStaff supervision and development: YesDecision making:Organize a team and assigns roles and responsibilities, Appropriately apply and advise on company policy, procedures and programs, Review and take appropriate action on associate grievances and complex Employee Relations issues, Analyze data and trends in partnership with the HR Group to develop and advise on appropriate solutions, policies and programs.Travel: Up to 10%Flex Designation: DC BasedEducation and Experience4 Year Bachelors DegreeBachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business Administration, related field, or professional experience equivalentActive SPHR SHRM-CPSHRM-SCP or similar certification preferred.Min 8+ years of progressive experience in HR roles within a fast paced environment; prior distribution or manufacturing experience preferredMin 5+ years demonstrated experience leading and developing high performing teams, successfully motivating and influencing the work of othersStrong knowledge of federal and state employment law and standard methodologies in conducting workplace investigationsAbility to exercise sound judgment and make decisions in a manner consistent with the essential job functions.Strong conflict management skills.Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills.Excellent verbal and written communication skillsBilingual a plusStrong computer literacy skills (Microsoft - Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and comfortable with Enterprise resource platforms (Ultipro, Kronos, SAP, etc)Develop strong trusting relationships in order to gain support and achieve results.Manage multiple business units in multiple locations.Manage multiple conflicting priorities.Be flexible and available to interact with employees at all levels.Be self- directed and motivated.Take initiative to identify and anticipate client needs and make recommendations for implementation.Physical RequirementsStand, walk, sit for extended periods of time.Speak and listen to others in person and over the phone .Use keyboard and read from computer screen and reports.The ability to lift up to 50 lbs.The anticipated salary range for this position is $127,800 - $160,000 depending on location, knowledge, skills, education and experience. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Eligible Associates are able to enroll in our company's 401k plan. Associates will accrue paid time off up to 236 hours per year (inclusive of PTO, floating holidays, and paid holidays).
