Client Job Title: AccountantIndustry: Global, High-tech Industrial manufacturingLocation: Columbia, TNPrimary Function: Maintain financial procedures and confirm financial compliance through preparation of reports and statements. Prepare and maintain financial records to track assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liabilities, and other related financial activities.Responsibilities:Complete month-end closing including developing the financials and reporting to the corporate officeInteract with sales, engineering, and manufacturing managers to prepare and analyze costs for existing or new quotes for probable business ventures. Able to calculate material costs for each code and interest with foreman to determine production operations needed to develop product costsValue monthly inventories: Finished, WIP, and obsolescence for monthly financialsCalculate inventory revaluation annually and explain any variance from the prior yearCoordinate annual cost roll-up of manufactured costs which includes working with other internal departments to collect latest material costs, methods, standard rates, process specifications, process changes that effect product cost, and determine overhead percentages by departmentMaintain data files on a day-to-day basis and update annuallyParticipate in projects relating to costing, cost savings, cost analysis, or financial studies as assignedInteract with other personnel for any costing inquiries or possible new business quotations or analysis reports pertaining to cost or scrapRequired Skills:General knowledge and respect of confidentiality and control functionsUnderstanding and experience of ERPMRP platformsDemonstrated strong analytical, prioritization, and communication skillsExperience or knowledge of Lean Manufacturing practicesProficient with Mecrosoft Office SuiteKnowledge of JD Edwards, desiredEducationBachelor's degree in Accounting or Business preferredAssociate's degree with work experience may substitute for Bachelor's degree
