Position Summary:As a HVACR service technician, you will perform troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance tasks on commercial HVAC refrigeration equipment. Principal Duties and Responsibilities:Perform assigned HVACR maintenance and troubleshooting task safely in commercial and industrial settingsPerform preventative maintenance and repair of commercial HVAC equipment as neededDiagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.Service, diagnose and troubleshoot a variety of refrigeration equipment such as coolers, reach in coolers, walk-in boxes, cooler display cases, and ice machinesService, diagnose and troubleshoot various types of split systems, packaged rooftop, rooftop units, heat pumps, DX systems, pneumatic, electrical control systems, and other mechanical equipmentDiagnose causes of breakdowns, test parts with appropriate instruments, disassemble and assemble parts, and make necessary repairs to equipment and associated components.Use your HVACR skills and experience to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain medium to large sized complex heating, cooling and refrigeration systems and associated control systemsPrepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, gathering material, and coordinating on-site work with customer and dispatcherComplete required electronic documentation daily on a handheld deviceWork independently, and as part of a team, to complete assigned tasks within an allotted time frameOperate company vehicle to complete service calls in a specified territoryPerform other related duties or special projects, as assignedEducation, Training, Licenses andor Certifications:5 years of experience troubleshooting and maintaining commercial andor industrial HVACR equipmentExperience servicing, diagnosing, and troubleshooting a variety of refrigeration equipment such as coolers, reach in coolers, walk-in boxes, cooler display cases, and ice machinesEPA universal certificationNATE certification preferred but not requiredHigh school diploma or equivalentOSHA 10 hour preferredAdditional Requirements:Maintain a positive, cooperative, and teachable attitudeRequires mechanical aptitude, mathematical and English language plies and promotes company Safety PolicyInitiative; self-motivated (driven), self-starter.Excellent communication and customer services skills.Analytical and problem-solving skillsProfessional demeanor and positive, caring attitude.Must be able to work independently and without supervision.Ability to stand, squat, bend, stoop and comfortably lift up to 50 lbs.Proficiency with electrical and mechanical diagnosticsFamiliarity with blueprint, schematic, drawings, and other equipment layout materialsAbility to pass a full background screening and drug screeningAbility to pass MVR checkAbility to pass a physical ability testAbility to travel, as needed, for projects
