To learn more, visit .ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY:The Finance Associate will report to the Chief Operating Officer of Girls Who Invest and is a key new role designed to perform financial analysis, share strategic insights, manage multiple finance-related projects such as driving the annual budgeting process and analyzing variances, and create top-notch content for leadership and the Board of Directors that will inform key decision-making across the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIESFinancial Analysis, Strategy and BudgetingDrive and project manage the annual budgeting process, collaborating with senior leadership and cross functional teams to ensure alignment with proposed strategiesannual plans.Create accurate and detailed financial forecasts to support strategic decision-making.Track and analyze variances between budgeted and actual financial performance, providing and implementing suggested solutions for improvements and other learnings.Support GWI's data analytics broadly, particularly data related to organizational impact and cross-team analytics, and provide strategic insights.Reporting and Project ManagementPrepare and present comprehensive financial reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders and key meetingsplans including data visualization, analytics, and background research.Manage the Quarter End process and ensure timely delivery of materials for the Audit and Finance Committee meetings of the Board including collecting relevant data across the organization, performing financial analyses, and creating Board presentations and reports.Lead identification, project design, and implementation for high-impact special projects across the entire organization to improve processes, reporting and data.ABOUT THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE:Three to five years of relevant work experience; experience in financial services, management consulting, or corporate financial planning and analysis preferred.Strong proficiency in financial modeling and analysis including ability to understand the details, gleam insights big and small, and develop recommendations from data.Demonstrated ability to be proactive, take the initiative, have a strong sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.Excellent organizational and project management skills and demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects at once as they evolve and change.Strong communication and presentation skills (verbal and written) and experience translating complex ideas into clear, easy-to-understand concepts.Significant experience with Google Suite, Excel (including expert analysis, organizing, and formatting skills), and PowerPoint; experience with Salesforce and project management software preferred.Strong commitment to GWI's mission with intellectual curiosity around investment management, market trends, and advancing womenEDUCATION: Bachelor's degree required; degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field preferred; MBA a plus.GIRLS WHO INVEST'S VALUESEquity is the core value driving Girls Who Invest "” it is the foundation of everything we do.We believe in:Diversifying investment teams to drive better outcomes and create meaningful impactWelcoming those who self-identify as women and gender non-binaryAdvocating fiercely for communities that have historically faced barriers to entry and advancementUtilizing ongoing education as a resource to help women thrive in an evolving investment landscapeAccelerating careers through the power of community and connectionShaping the investment management industry to look more like the world around itEnsuring all who interact with GWI: scholars, alumni, board members and staff encounter an inclusive, respectful environment that welcomes each other's unique skills and perspectives.Girls Who Invest provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.
