Valley Solar is one of the New England's largest independent solar energy contractors, located in beautiful Western Massachusetts.We are looking for a talented Assistant Solar Project Manager to join our operations team. Solar experience is not required, but demonstrated organizational skills, attention to detail and a willingness to learn is. Experience using Salesforce CRM is a plus.Valley Solar is a full-service contractor from lead generation, to sales, site assessment, system design and engineering, permiting, installation, commissioning, and support. We do residential and commercial projects and do more Energy Storage System projects than most other contractors. Accurate permitting and project management is fundamental to our success.RESPONSIBILITIES· Bring a positive, collaborative, and solutions-oriented attitude to work· Keep accurate records within Salesforce CRM and Microsoft· Must have exceptional customer focus and orientation· Create standard operating procedures and stay organized· Maintain relationships with municipal offices and inspectors· Review permits and plansets for accuracy and completeness· Conceptualize and pursue improvements to our process, e.g. exploring new software solutions, appreciating, but never settling for the way things are done.QUALIFICATIONS· Passionate about solar energy· Demonstrated ability to work harmoniously with a team· Proficient or aptitude to become proficient in Salesforce CRM· Able to prioritize tasks and hold yourself accountable for delivering results on schedule· Able to understand and communicate the value of solar and storage technologies· Experience with customer serviceCompensation range: $48,000 - $58,000year DOEBENEFITS· Hours: Monday - Friday, 7:30am-4:00pm, Approx. 40 hrswk. on average· Health & Dental Insurance through Health New England· Simple IRA (1-yr vesting period for company match)· Earned time off: 10 days Y1, accruing 1 additional day each year· Paid holidays: 7 annually· Compensation review to be conducted after first 6 months, then each 12 months thereafterThis is a full-time position with a competitive salary and benefits package.
