This can only be accomplished through your daily involvement on the floor and a thorough and comprehensive Preventative Maintenance (PM) programProvide leadership, direction, training, and guidance to associatesManager the maintenance team to ensure equipment availability on all production sewing machines, Eton conveyors, Heat tunnels, and Gerber automated cutting equipment related to furniture upholstery business. Insures 99.9% uptime on all production equipmentPlan, design, budget and facilitate projects related to furniture upholstery business and or DistributionDesign, develop, and program controls systemsManage and monitor the budget to ensure compliance in all areas. Eliminate the use of outside services as often as possible. Ensure we are getting the competitive price on all goods and services purchasedMaintain a clean, sanitary, and safe work environment through prevention, safety education and awareness, problem correction, improved employee training, and communication to all levelsLead by example and support Williams-Sonoma's Mission, Vision, and Core ValuesManage the productivity, accuracy, and efficiency of the distribution staffDrive continuous improvement and customer serviceProvide written documentation on all maintenance activities to include system malfunctions, weekly time sheets, dollars spent on supplies, inventory accuracy, projects plan and results, and projects plannedOther duties, may be assignedCheck out some of the required qualifications we are looking for in amazing candidates....Degree in a related field or at least 5 years in an industrial maintenance environmentAt least 5 years' previous supervisorymanagement experience in an industrial maintenance environment or in a distribution environmentElectrical and mechanical knowledge including hands-on experienceProven ability to design, develop, and program controls systemsComputer literate to include Excel, Power Point, Word, and OutlookUnderstanding of power distribution requirementsProgrammable Logic Controller (PLC) and controls experienceAbility to read blueprints and diagramsWe prefer some of these qualities as well....Bachelor's Degree in a related fieldReview these physical requirements, as they play a major part in this role....Able to work at heights and unusual positionAble to safely operate all hand toolsAble to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basisMust be able to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet-jacks, and handcartsMust be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment - often while working in uncomfortable positionsDexterity in eyehand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexionrotation)Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumesodors, hotcold temperatures, insideoutside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfacesOccasionally exposed to work that requires repetitive motion.
