A leader in luxury stone, slab, and tile products, is hiring an Outside Sales Account Executive for our Manhattan, NY location. The Outside Sales Account Executive is a skilled level sales position and a great opportunity for someone who enjoys selling beautiful high-end products! This position is responsible for visiting, promoting, and handling complex sales activities with the trade industry outside the facilities. This position is also responsible for meeting sales goals and objectives assigned by the Showroom Branch Manager. What you will doBuild and nurture relationships with our Trade Partners (builders, general contractors, kitchen and bath dealers, fabricators, etc.) that result in consistent sales growth.Schedules appointments and visits to existing and potential customers to present products and services that will meet the customer's current and future needs. Establishes new accounts and partnerships and builds a relationship with customers. Collects information to record visits in the CRM system.Establish weekly routes based on assigned areas.Ensures placement of marketing products, specifically towers, and tabletops, to push the products available for resale including slabs and tiles.Attracts new customers through lead generation.Encourage customer referrals from the dealers to the showroom.Work closely with the Customer Service team within the showroom to close the sale.Enters orders and processes paperwork following established procedures.Supports the daily Showroom sales activities when scheduled.Sends sales orders and photographs to customers as requested.Listens to and resolves customer concerns regarding service, products, or personnel; notifies the General Manager, Branch Manager, andor executive management immediately regardless of urgency.Follow established sales procedures and pricing policies.Continuous follow-up with potential customers to nurture the relationship.Meets sales goals and objectives assigned by the General or Branch Manager.Meets with the General Branch Manager on a weekly basis to develop.methods and procedures to increase sales, and expand markets and business base. Prepares reports of activities and assigned accounts for the General Manager or Branch Manager on a weekly basis, or as requested.Executes sales promotion activities.Perform product presentations, continuing education courses and client library updates.Develops and maintains product knowledge of merchandise and available sales promotional materials.Follows up on assignments or projects assigned by the General or Branch Manager.Participates in trade shows, exhibits, and related corporate promotional activities.Attends various special networking events representing the company or company-sponsored parties or events.This job description reflects management's assignment of essential functions; it does not prescribe or restrict the tasks that may be assigned.Skills we are excited aboutThree to five years of sales experience in a wholesale environment is required.Prior experience working with the trade industry is preferred.High school diploma, GED, or equivalent required. Bachelor's degree in business, architecture, interior design, or related field preferred.Knowledge of stone and tile and the ability to read Architectural plans a plus.Excellent client service skills, people skills, and enjoys building relationships.Effective communication skillsSales-driven, goal-oriented, and successful at prospecting for new accounts.Detailed and excellent follow-throughProficient in using Microsoft OfficeInterior design background a plusWork routines frequently require prolonged periods of sitting in one location which may be restricted to the employee's workstation. May encounter prolonged periods of walking or standing when assisting customers in the warehouse.
