Job Description:

The Financial Systems Analyst role is responsible for supporting the accounting applications and associated systems, including but not limited to, time entry, cost recovery, notification and financial reporting. In addition to the accounting system administration and support, the role will develop and execute ad hoc queries, custom reports, data workflow processes, etc.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provide technical and application support to users of financial applicationDetect and correct cost recovery upload errorsBuild, optimize, deliver and support new and existing reports and data visualization dashboards using Power BI and EDI based on requirements from functional expertbusiness ownersAssist in designing reports, solutions, and processes that increases optimization when possibleDevelop data structures, SQL Views, stored procedures and functions as needed for reportingdashboardDevelop and support SSRS, Power BI Reports and dashboards to meet business needsGenerate standard and ad hoc reports via SQL and Reporting ServicesCustomize front end Elite 3E reports and metrics and delivering to the specifications requiredTracks, monitors, evaluates and optimizes reporting and dashboards based on feedback from end-usersEXPERIENCE AND COMPETENCIES Experience working with accounting software required, experience with Elite 3e preferredStrong SQL skills with proficiency in SQL development, SSRS and Power BI Tools are requiredAbility to learn general functional and technical aspects of firm's Financial applications whenever requiredExcellent analytical skills with the ability to communicate resultsStrong interpersonal skills required to communicate with all other IT members, members of the firm and clients. Must have customer service attitude and ability to work well with other groupsAbility to work efficiently, independently and effectively under pressureStrong organizational skills, capability to schedule and coordinate multiple activities in results-oriented environmentMust have customer service attitude and ability to work well with other groupsSuperior understanding of the firm's goals and objectives, with demonstrated ability to apply technology in solving business problemsHighly available and responsive to occasional after-hours issues, as the firm operates on a near 24x7 basisEDUCATION ANDOR EXPERIENCE:College degree required3+ of experience in a corporate IT role, preferably supporting and customizing financial systemsSolid technical foundation and strong analytical skills with the ability to troubleshootExperience with Microsoft SQL Server 2016 or higher is preferredFamiliarity with Query tools and SQL Server Reporting ServicesExtract Transform Load (ETL)Knowledge of relational databases requiredXML experience preferredAdvanced report writing experience using tools such as SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), Power BI, etc. requiredExperience with core financial software applications, such as: Elite 3E, ChromeRiver, and Xcelerate strongly preferredExperience with business and technical requirements analysis, business process modelingmapping, methodology development, and data mapping requiredSALARY RANGE$110,000 - $120,000Kramer Levin Naftalis & Frankel LLP is an equal opportunity employer; the firm actively seeks diversity among its staff.
