Stealth Communications is in search of a seasoned FPGA Design Engineer with a focus on Space Applications. This position is integral to enhancing spacecraft design and flight operations. As part of a dynamic, fast-paced, and cohesive multi-disciplinary team, you will have the unique opportunity to make substantial contributions to the evolution of space technology.This position requires security clearance and is based onsite in Honolulu, HI.ResponsibilitiesInnovate more cost-effective approaches for automating processes and scripting to enhance FPGA development activities.Engage in cross-disciplinary teamwork with Software Engineers and other ASICFPGA engineers to develop advanced products, driving future business growth through complex systems that incorporate high-speed networking principles.Offer guidance and technical expertise to junior engineers, significantly contributing to the design, simulation, integration, and testing of sophisticated, high-speed products.Design spacecraft electronics FPGAs in accordance with space industry standards, including the creation of design requirements and architectural diagrams.Develop Register Transfer Level (RTL) code and test benches for FPGAs, ensuring they meet the flight performance specifications.Foster collaboration with other design disciplines, including electrical, software, and systems engineering, to ensure a cohesive development process.Assist electrical and software engineers during board verification phases, including design, bring-up, and testing, ensuring seamless integration and functionality.Capable of independent work and collaboration within a diverse and multidisciplinary team, including scientists, engineers, business professionals, and ex-military personnel.QualificationsRequired: An active, transferable TSSCI CI Poly U.S. government-issued security clearance prior to commencement.Master's in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.A minimum of 10 years of experience in the relevant field.Expertise in RTL languages, including Verilog or VHDL.Proficiency in working with radiation-hardened FPGA tool flows.Skilled in FPGA architecture and design.Familiarity with industry-standard interfaces such as UART, Ethernet, and Spacewire.Proficient in scripting and programming languages, including Tcl and Python.Strong technical writing and oral presentation capabilities.Experience in integrating and testing flight prehensive understanding of commercial, industry, and NASA specifications and standards.
