Greater Vision Veterinary Care Centers is excited to add a new member to our team! We are seeking a candidate with great business acumen and strong management skills who enjoys leading and developing a team. The role of the Practice Manager is to support the veterinary practice team and manage essential business functions in partnership with the Managing Doctor (DVM). In collaboration with the managing doctor, the practice manager is responsible for ensuring the profitability of the practice and a healthy culture rooted in high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.The ideal candidate has 5 or more years of experience as a veterinary practice manager with experience managing a multi-doctor practice. Prior experience with multi-site operations management is preferred.Practice Manager CompetenciesBusiness Acumen: Understanding how a business works, how it makes money and how the strategies and decisions impact financial, operational and sales results.Client Centric: Ensuring all practice activities result in the highest level of client satisfaction. Managers must have the ability to identify questions, problems, and arguments relevant to these issues and to use logic and critical reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions or approaches to problems.Planning & Priority: The manager has many different job responsibilities, several of which relate to compliance with professional and legal standards and regulations. As a result, managers must be able to organize their work efficiently, set priorities, and establish plans or timetables for achieving goals. They must effectively manage time and workload to meet deadlines.Continuous Learning: Best practices in management and legal issues are constantly evolving and managers must keep up with these changes. They must demonstrate curiosity for learning and actively seek out new information, technologies, and methods. Additionally, they are responsible for creating and maintaining a positive culture in the practice.Essential ResponsibilitiesDrive revenue for practice growthManage expenses including but not limited to drugs and supplies, labor and facility costsAssist in developing and maintaining salary schedules and job evaluations for all employeesProvide input on an annual budgetTriage in-house human resource issues and collaborate with the Heartland Human Resources teamEstablish and execute performance evaluationsEstablish internal operating procedures for the administration of the practice to ensure accuracy and completeness of veterinary records and reports, format, and compliance with the accepted hospital practices.Partner with the MDVM to ensure all team members are adhering to practice operating procedures that ensure the accuracy and completeness of veterinary records and reports and ensure formats are in compliance with accepted practice guidelines.Ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and laws. This includes but is not limited to OSHA, DEA, EEOC, ADA, and the Department of Labor.
