Operations Project Manager - ChicagoAre you seeking an Operations Project Manager position that will use your extensive experience managing CAPEX projects? Do you have a proven track record of leading cross-functional teams, delivering projects within budget and timeline constraints, and implementing best practices in project management? Are you passionate about overseeing various CAPEX initiatives and ensuring they align with organizational objectives?Responsibilities:Project execution oversight, including defining scope, allocating resources, planning budget and schedule, and managing risks for new product launches, automation projects, and capacity expansions.Enhance safety, quality, delivery, and cost efficiency in manufacturing and assembly operations through cross-functional projects that use innovative process improvements. To achieve project objectives, drive waste reduction, integrate technology, and develop skills among production teams. Guide engineering and assembly personnel as the technical authority for operations projects, ensuring desired outcomes.Foster innovation by advancing processing techniques to align with long-term growth objectives while enhancing safety, quality, and cost-effectiveness."Create and assess reports and presentations and manage budget distributions by company policies."Encourage communication and teamwork among all departments and management levels. Deliver presentations at the executive level when required.Collaborate closely with the manufacturing, engineering, maintenance, and equipment suppliers to develop and implement new manufacturing processes and equipment installations.Utilize Lean, Six Sigma, and 3P methodologies to drive manufacturing cost reduction and efficiency improvements across various production processes.Requirements:A Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering or a related field is required (Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering is preferred).Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification is highly preferred.5+ years of experience with Capital Expenditure7+ years of experience in manufacturing focusing on process improvements, capital improvements, efficiency of automation, etc.Experience with new product launches.Proficiency in 3D CADmodeling software.Experience with Lean Manufacturing methodologies.
