As a Site Director, you'll receive training and support to enhance your skills in STEM education and leadership. You'll be part of a vibrant, collaborative work environment that encourages innovation and creativity, where every team member is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of our campers.Summer Camp Site Director Responsibilities:Coach and train teachers, helping them understand the purpose of each activity and implementing protocols for a FUN and SAFE environmentNurture positive, supportive relationships with NORY campers and their familiesManage resources critical to the success of our NORY camp (i.e., materials, facilities, daily schedule, etc.)Keep administrative records for the campProvide adequate support to achieve the following 3 core camp goals: Safety, Fun, and NORY Core Values (resilience, inquisitiveness, and empathy)Summer Camp Compensation and Benefits:Compensation: $1,220 to $1,575 weekStarting pay (minimum) is $1,220, with the potential to earn up to $1,575 weekly, including a $150 weekly bonus.Hours: 7:45am to 5:30pm.Camp runs from 9am to 3pm, with additional before and aftercare options.Note: Camp duration and pay depend on the camp size: smaller camps end at 4:30 PM and larger camps end at 5:30 PM with additional pay for Site Directors.Benefits: Lunch provided based on availabilityBenefits: 401K for those who work at NORY for 12 months or morePossible Pre-Season Work (May): 2~10 hoursweek2 Locations Available (separate positions): NYC (Manhattan), Boston (Downtown, Brookline)You're a great fit for the role if these organizational values resonate with you: and if:You have over 5 years of experience teaching 3-12-year-old children, with a strong background in leadership and fostering positive team environments.You have experience building strong relationships with families in a camp or educational setting.You demonstrate a growth mindset and a willingness to learn and adopt new technology and skills.You are positive and enjoy problem-solving.You actively seek feedback and welcome different perspectives to continuously improve and demonstrate a growth mindset.You are accountable and disciplined, taking commitments seriously.You are an empathetic team leader, nurturing a caring environment that upholds the values of empathy and compassion.Pre-Summer Engagement Opportunities:If you are interested in joining our team before summer, we offer several holiday camps allowing new hires to get acclimated to NORY protocols and procedures.
