This role involves collaborating with other network engineers, system administrators, and IT operations teams to ensure the stability, reliability, and scalability of the data center network.The Data Center L3 Network Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the data center network infrastructure. This position requires a combination of technical expertise, problem-solving skills, and teamwork to support the evolving needs of the organization.Responsibilities:Design and implement scalable and resilient Layer 3 network architectures within the data center environment, including core, distribution, and access layers.Configure and manage routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to ensure optimal routing and failover capabilities.Implement and manage VLANs, VRFs, and other network segmentation techniques to isolate and secure traffic within the data center.Deploy and maintain network security solutions, including firewalls, intrusion detectionprevention systems, and access control lists (ACLs).Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure in AWS cloud environments.Implement and maintain AWS network services such as VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, VPN, Transit Gateway, etc.Configure and manage network security groups, ACLs, and firewall policies to ensure secure communication within AWS environments.Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the deployment of new applications, services, and infrastructure within the data center.Perform network capacity planning and performance tuning to ensure sufficient bandwidth and low latency for critical applications and services.Troubleshoot network issues and outages, providing timely resolution and root cause analysis.Monitor network health and performance using tools such as SNMP, NetFlow, and packet captures.Develop and maintain documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).Stay current with emerging technologies and best practices in data center networking, and evaluate their potential impact on the existing infrastructure.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field; or equivalent work experience.Extensive experience designing, implementing, and managing Layer 3 network infrastructures within large-scale data center environments.Design, deploy, and manage network infrastructure in AWS cloud environments.Implement and maintain AWS network services such as VPC, Direct Connect, Route 53, VPN, Transit Gateway, etc.Configure and manage network security groups, ACLs, and firewall policies to ensure secure communication within AWS -depth knowledge of routing and switching protocols, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and VRFs.Hands-on experience with network security technologies, such as firewalls, IDSIPS, and VPNs.Proficiency with network hardware from vendors such as Cisco, Juniper, Arista, and Palo Alto Networks.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve complex network issues.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team dustry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, JNCIP, or equivalent are preferred.Experience with software-defined networking (SDN) and network automation tools (e.g., Ansible, Python) is a plus.Knowledge of cloud networking technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) is desirable.Genpact is an Equal Opportunity Employer and considers applicants for all positions without regard to race, color, religion or belief, sex, age, national origin, citizenship status, marital status, militaryveteran status, genetic information, sexual orientation, gender identity, physical or mental disability or any other characteristic protected by applicable laws.
