With a culture of recognition and reputation for excellence, ELS is the ideal organization in which to develop a long and successful career!ELS is hiring for the position of Field Network Administrator in Chicago, IL.The Field Network Administrator is responsible for the daily operation and support of Regional Office and Property Networks which is defined as the Internet Circuit, Firewall, additional network support components (routers, data switches, Intrusion Detection Devices (WIPS), Network Wiring, Regional Office Wi-Fi, etc.) The ideal candidate for this position is certified to work with Checkpoint Firewalls and is well-versed in Windows based networking environments. Preference will be given to candidates who has experience at the enterprise networking level. Travel will be required, sometimes on short notice.To fulfill those responsibilities, the following, but not limited to, Job Functions are required:Performs Remote Network Outage remediation for Properties and Regional Offices once an escalated trouble ticket is received.Configures and installs Checkpoint firewalls in Regional offices and at property stall WIPS at locations that process credit cards.Coordinate with Acquisitions Project Manager toProcure firewall, Intrusion Detection, and associated power protectionDetermine inside wiring needs and schedule repair or installs as required.Work with vendors to determine appropriate path for conduit and ready site for installation of fiber or ethernet as required.Work with preferred vendor to assess inside wiring needs at Regional office and property locations, review and approvedisapprove vendor work orders, travel expenses, labor, material, etc..Maintain stock levels of equipment such as firewalls, WIPS, routers, and Long Range Ethernet (LRE).Coordinate with Field Networking Manager to augment stock, obtain RMA, andor recycle decommissioned equipment, reconcile inventory with IT Asset Manager.Maintain network object monitoring software to include additions, removals, modifications of firewall and ISP circuit objects.Troubleshoot VoIP phonessystems in response to network connectivity issues.Maintain company internal IP Address pool; issue non-DHCP reserved addresses for vendor equipment as required and approved by the Field Network Manager.Upon successful completion of the Checkpoint Certified Security Administrator course, the Administrator will gain console access to perform the following functions:Create Firewall Objects, Push Policy, etc.Perform Firewall Maintenance with firmware updates, memory space management, etc.Proactive analysis for outage preventionResolve firewall configuration settings in events stemming from issues related to Vulnerability scans; coordinate with Internet Service Providers to resolve issues related to Vulnerability scans that point at problems related to their equipment.Work with Field Networks Manager to submit for approval Requests for Change affecting changes to the network including but not limited to firewall config updates or changes that may affect CORE applications.Maintain Regional Office Data Rooms to include rack maintenance and cable management, server shelves, environmental controls and monitors, battery backup health, patch panel maintenance and labelling, etc..Manage Arista Intrusion Detection Devices (WIPSAccess Points)Monitor StatusTroubleshoot, Replace, Upgrade, Recycle, as requiredPrepare and Maintain Site documentation to include Network Diagrams, Firewall Configuration Documents, PCI Network segmentation port assignments.Maintain documents for Service Provider Account information, IP Allocations, Contact Numbers, and any other pertinent Documentation.Provide direct Support for Regional Office and Call Center Security Systems, Door Access Systems, and Video Recording Systems.Use company procurement channels to order approved equipment requests for property and Regional office return for your excellent skills and abilities, we offer a comprehensive benefits package including: medical, dental, and vision plans, a generous 401(k) employer match, and paid vacations, holidays, and sick time.We invite you to visit our web site at for additional information regarding our exceptional resort communities.As an Equal Opportunity Employer, we welcome and thank all applicants.
