LANDSCAPE CONTINUING CARE ADVISOROJB is seeking a Landscape Continuing Care Advisor to join our team in Solana Beach, CA. The Landscape Continuing Care Advisor will handle a wide range of responsibilities, including customizing site-specific plant palettes based on durability, beauty, and regional suitability during the design process; overseeing plant installations; providing long-term landscape maintenance consulting following installations of landscapes; and generating plant resource guides for post-installation guidance on management of landscape systems.Due to an ever-growing demand and vast portfolio of national projects, the successful candidate must be exceedingly well organized, flexible and enjoy the challenge of a fast-paced, energetic environment, sometimes under pressure. He or she should be proactive, resourceful, efficient and maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. Excellent verbal communication skills, strong decision- making ability and attention to detail are keys to success.Duties & ResponsibilitiesPlays a key role in the Design and Construction Phases by advising on plant & tree selections, planting soil strategies, and irrigation strategies.Assists clients with establishing & overseeing landscape maintenance services agreements to ensure the property's landscape is green and flourishing.Generates and implements Quality Control strategies to ensure integrity throughout the design, installation, and maintenance phases of a project.Conducts job site and property inspections.Creates and maintains a detailed plant library for the firm.Use expertise with local plants to provide education for the firm and consulting for new and existing clients.The ideal candidate will have:A Bachelor's degree in plant sciences (horticulture, botany, landscape management).A minimum of three years of work experience in horticulture, botany, landscape maintenance, or other closely related field.A thorough understanding of pest, diseases, and mitigating strategies to ensure our built projects stay beautiful.A general proficiency of the following software systems. MS word, Excel, Outlook, Bluebeam, InDesign, Plangrid.Experience in an Architectural, Landscape Architectural or Design firm a PLUS.Experience in a Landscape Construction firm a PLUS.Strong attention to detail, problem solving skills, and ability to comfortably speak with anization and time management skills, including an abilityto manage and prioritize competing assignments.Excellent written and interpersonal communication skills.At OJB, we are committed to providing an environment of mutual respect where equal employment opportunities are available to all applicants.
