APS is searching for a dynamic Professional Engineer to lead and expand our professional service expertise in providing reliable underground and above-ground utility information to reduce the risks that utilities present for infrastructure projects. In this role, the Engineer will play a pivotal part growing the company's subsurface utility engineering practice providing valuable opportunities to enhance their skills across a diverse portfolio of projects. Applied Professional Services, Inc (APS) is a wholly owned subsidiary of T2 Utility Engineers.Since 1993, T2 Utility Engineers has provided professional Subsurface Utility Engineering and Utility Coordination, services in support of infrastructure projects of all sizes and types. Using advanced technologies, our team of field technicians, engineers, and surveyors, provide quality data and professional insight to help our clients visualize, plan, and design their projects. Our mission is to provide project stakeholders with quality information, professional insight and deliverables that streamline construction, improve project safety, and set the standard for the engineering industry Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Interfaces with clients to obtain work conducting business development activities Develops and maintains relationships with existing and new clientsReport on client and competitor activities Attend and participate in Civil Engineering Industry eventsPrepare business activity and forest rep[ortsReviews of composite utility files, plan sheet drawings and complete ASCE 38 compliant SUE plans in Microstation and AutoCAD Civil 3DDemonstrates ability to manage simultaneous projects and tasksWorking with proposal team and respond to requests for information, proposals andor quotationsPrepares work plans, assembles project team, delegates tasks and ensures compliance with scope and timely completion of tasksInitiates, prepares, reviews, and participates in proposals, rate & staff hour estimate preparation, and negotiationsServe as representative of APS at client meetingsOversees QAQC functions to ensure accurate and high quality deliverables to clientsReviews invoices and preparesreviews progress reports to client Qualifications:4-year degree in civil engineering plus 10+ years' experience in civil engineering Must be a licensed professional engineer in the State of Washington, or in the process of obtaining their WA PE (within 1 year)Civil Engineering expertise in Transportation, WaterWastewater, or Transit a plusAbility to effectively network to obtain strategic growth KPl's for new business and key clientsMust have strong written and oral communication, supervisory and mentoring, attention to details and accuracy, planning, decision making, problem solvingPreferred MicroStation, AutoCAD Civil 3D knowledge a plusProficient in MS Office Knowledge of Subsurface Utility Engineering and Utility Coordination a plusMust have excellent technical writing, communication and project management skillsFlexible work schedule We Offer a Complete Benefits Package!
