We offer the opportunity for professional accomplishment and growth with diverse, talented, and collaborative Team Members in a dynamic work environment at a company with an indisputably important mission"”to help people live healthier lives.Position SummaryThe Corporate Counsel - Legal (Property Development) strengthens Life Time by providing legal support to help clients advance their business goals and objectives while mitigating legal risks, including cross-functional contributions to business initiatives.Job DutiesResponsibilitiesExtensive experience reviewing, drafting, and negotiating letters of intent, purchase agreements (acquisitions and sales), ground leases, space leases, and any appropriate restrictive covenants, easement agreements, development agreements, etc. Prefer significant experience on the tenant side of leasing transactions.Spearhead and manage multiple real estate and development transactions with little required oversight in a fast-paced high-growth company.Review and analyze due diligence for real estate transactions, including title, survey, and due diligence.QualificationsAble to effectively multi-task with tight deadlines independently and on a team with diverse personalities and work stylesAble to build strong working relationships with business clientsStrong critical thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to define problems, collect and analyze data, draw valid conclusions, and recommend practical solutions in light of legal issues and risksExcellent oral and written communication skillsHighly organizedSelf-motivatedAble to operate a personal computer, including strong experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and SmartSheets.Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university.Years of Experience:Experience in a dynamic in-house environment is preferred, but not required.At least five years' experience as an in-house real estate attorney or as a commercial real estate attorney at a law firm.Licenses Certifications Registrations:J.D., admittedlicensed to practice in Minnesota.Preferred QualificationsExperience in a dynamic in-house environment is preferred, but not required.A passion for providing unparalleled client service.Brings an innovative approach to legal issues in support of strategic business initiatives and mands a high level of professionalism and outstanding business judgment.Experience with joint venture agreements and property management agreements is preferred, but not required.Life Time is a place for everyone.
