Superintendent Sarasota, FLHighlights:2023 Fortune 100 Best Companies to Work For® by Great Place to Work® and Fortune, ranking 36!Best Workplaces in Constructionâ„¢ (#2)Opportunity: Promotes growth and movement within the organizationResponsibilities: Responsible for managing the activities and completion of commercial construction projects and ensuring construction schedules, safety, SWPPP, quality standards, and customer satisfaction are maintained throughout the construction process.What you will do: Developing work schedules in coordination with trades (subcontractors, suppliers and vendors) to ensure project progresses on schedule and within prescribed budget.Oversee andor process day-to-day administrative items, contracts, and change orders per supervisor's authorization.Supervise trades assigned to area of responsibility, act as a liaison between the Design team (Architecture, Engineering, Landscape Architect and Interior Designer) and trades to ensure construction complies with drawings and specifications.Responsible for overseeing correct installations based upon the contract documents and shop drawingssubmittals.Monitor work performance and productivity of trades to ensure project rules, procedures, safety requirements, etc. are maintained.Manage jobsite subcontractor meetings to keep on schedule and be proactive on potential changes to the work. Advise project management of potential problems, work interference, schedule difficulties, etc.Responsible for proactively anticipating andor resolving problems as they arise.Implementation and ongoing execution of quality assurance checks throughout the progression of construction.Budgeting, estimating and bid negotiations on some projects.Working successfully in a team environment and working towards a common goal.What you will need:Bachelor's Degree in Construction or Engineering preferredMinimum 4 years construction experience or equivalentMinimum 2 years as Construction Manager or equivalentAbility to direct and manage trade performanceStrong ability to read blueprintsStrong knowledge of municipal permitting and regulationsStrong knowledge of building codesStrong knowledge of construction-related scheduling softwareGood application of excel, PPT, and Word and ability to lead presentationDemonstrated commitment to customer satisfactionAbility to control cost overruns and manage a budget
