Job ResponsibilitiesMaintain ongoing communication with client, making adjustments as necessary to comply with client needs within contractual obligations or adjust project deliverables to meet client and PWC needsAssist Project Manager in establishing and implementing project procedures consistent with contractual documents and quality plans for all work; determine and oversee all project controls, schedules and budgetsAssemble and review shop drawings, RFI's and submittals with the assistance of a project engineerWork with the Project Manager in updating the CPM schedule.Provide ongoing training and mentoring to entry and midlevel employees to promote employee developmentProvide strong on-site presence and leadershipMentor and help to grow Jr. SuperintendentsEnsure that all performance evaluations are completed in a timely manner for direct reportsReview, approve, or reject promotions for entry-level job titles up to General ForemenAssist with managing and directing project construction teams by providing communication, coordination, and follow-through to meet project goals and objectives; ensure project scope of work, schedule, and budget are clearly defined and understoodServe as project representative with client, constructor, subcontractors, and vendors at kick-off meetings, job walks, project review, and other meetings and correspondenceCoordinate training and compliance measures to ensure project procedures are followedIdentify and secure necessary approvals for all changes in project scope, budget, andor scheduleEnsure all work products are consistent with industry standards and in accordance with good engineering practice, applicable codes, and in compliance with all pertinent legal codes and requirementsUtilize knowledge of basic engineering fundamentals and practices to track and budget progress with project milestonesReview and approve the balance of Foremen, Journeymen, and Laborer's composite labor ratesManage contract administration (subcontractor and field management meetings for communication)Maintain good client relations involving staff on siteInitiate and attend supplementary and regular meetings with clients for problem resolution and planningDevelop and implement a plan for project completion and turnoverMaintain daily reports for distribution to OwnerRecommend, where appropriate, organizational, policy, staff, and procedural changesAssemble 4-week look-ahead construction schedules with weekly updatesSchedule material deliveries, subcontractors, and other administrative items related to managing a construction projectPerform surveying layout to ensure proper lines and grades are maintainedImplementation of RFI's and Submittals into the work planEnsure all embeds are placed correctly within the cast in place structuresMaintain proper inventory and organization of jobsite tools and materialsEnsure that all PPE is sourced and properly distributed to all Weiss employeesManage safety through jobsite cleanliness by ensuring all employees, including yourself, maintain a clean and orderly jobsite creating a culture of good housekeepingMust be able to withstand the physical demands of both indoor and outdoor construction work, be able to lift andor maneuver equipment and use assistance as needed per safety regulations, endure extreme weather conditions, and perform the essential functions of the job with or without an accommodationSubmission of work plans followed up with Equipment Shutdown Requests to coordinate work with the OwnerEngineer and maintain Owner OperationsJob QualificationsNegotiate and purchase materialsReadcomprehendfollowimplement language of a contractMaintain as-built documentsAct as point of contact with owner and architectengineerVerify and provide inventory analysisSurvey construction job siteAssociates or BS in an engineering field or construction management, related field, or equivalent years of direct experience (Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or another related field)5-7 years of direct experience in the construction industryThorough knowledge of construction safety as regulated by OSHAThorough knowledge of construction practices and sequence of activitiesAbility to plan and organize a workforceProficient in Microsoft Office, Microsoft Excel, P6, BluebeamReliance One, Inc. provides equal employment opportunities to all employees and applicants for employment and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type without regard to race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, disability status, genetics, protected veteran status, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local laws.This policy applies to all terms and conditions of employment, including recruiting, hiring, placement, promotion, termination, layoff, recall, transfer, leaves of absence, compensation, and training.
