Contract Duration: 12+ MonthsLocation: Southeastern United States (75% Travel Required)Start Date: ASAPTravel: 75% Travel to the Southeastern USMedSys Group is seeking an experienced Healthcare Billing Integration Consultant to facilitate the consolidation of Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) modules into a Single Billing Office within the Epic system. This initiative aims to streamline billing processes, improve efficiency, and enhance revenue cycle management for our hospital.Job Description:As a Healthcare Billing Integration Consultant, you will play a key role in orchestrating the integration of HB and PB modules into a unified billing workflow. Your primary responsibilities will include:1. Strategic Planning and Implementation:• Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a strategic roadmap for consolidating HB and PB functions into a Single Billing Office.• Design and implement workflows, policies, and procedures to support the integrated billing model.• Coordinate with IT teams to configure and customize the Epic system to accommodate the new billing processes.2. Epic Systems Configuration:• Utilize your expertise in Epic systems to configure and optimize the HB and PB modules for integration.• Customize billing workflows, templates, and rules within Epic to align with organizational requirements and industry best practices.• Conduct thorough testing of the integrated billing processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.3. Revenue Cycle Optimization:• Analyze current revenue cycle processes and identify opportunities for improvement.• Implement strategies to maximize revenue capture, reduce billing errors, and minimize claim denials.• Provide training and support to billing staff to ensure smooth transition to the new billing model.4. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication:• Engage with stakeholders across departments to communicate project goals, timelines, and expectations.• Facilitate meetings and workshops to gather feedback and address concerns related to the billing integration initiative.• Serve as a subject matter expert and provide ongoing support and guidance to stakeholders throughout the implementation process.Qualifications:• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, or related• Minimum of 5 years of experience in healthcare billing and revenue cycle management.• Extensive knowledge of Epic Hospital Billing (HB) and Professional Billing (PB) processes.• Relevant and up to date Epic Certifications• Experience in combining HB and PB into a single billing office• Proven experience with Epic systems implementation and configuration in a healthcare setting.
