Position Overview: As the Vice President Underwriter specializing in Commercial Property, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our underwriting strategy and ensuring the profitability and growth of our commercial property insurance portfolio. You will lead a team of underwriters, collaborating closely with various stakeholders to drive underwriting excellence and foster strategic partnerships. Key Responsibilities:Underwriting Leadership: Lead and manage a team of underwriters responsible for assessing risks, evaluating applications, and pricing commercial property insurance policies.Strategy Development: Develop and implement underwriting strategies tailored to the commercial property market segment, focusing on profitability, risk management, and growth objectives.Risk Assessment: Conduct comprehensive risk assessments for commercial property insurance applications, leveraging advanced data analytics and underwriting tools to make informed decisions.Portfolio Management: Monitor and analyze the performance of the commercial property insurance portfolio, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement. Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field; advanced degree or industry certifications (e.g., CPCU, AU, ARM) preferred.Proven track record of leadership and success in commercial property underwriting, with at least 5 years of experience in a management role.Deep understanding of commercial property insurance products, habitational, multi-family property, admitted - E&S, underwriting principles, and risk assessment methodologies.Strong analytical skills, with the ability to analyze complex data, identify patterns, and make data-driven decisions.
