Location: On-site - McDonald Army Health Center - Fort Eustis, VAShift: M-F 7:30AM - 4:30PMQualifications:Education: Masters or Doctorate Degree from a School of Social work fully accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE)Experience: Minimum of two (2) years' experience within the past five (5) years in the practice of clinical social work, preferably in a Government setting providing clinical services to individuals in clinical psychotherapy services License: Clinical Social Work license from a jurisdiction that allows for the independent practice of Clinical Services granted by the recognized licensing agency of any U.S. state or territory Type of Work: The duties include but are not limited to the following:Provide screenings, clinical assessments, treatment, case management, consultation, referral, and education according to professional discipline, Army Medical Department standards, and the DoD-directed Clinical Practice Guidelines (CPGs).Provide services as a part of a multi-disciplinary health care team to patients who are eligible beneficiaries of the Military Health Care System authorized by Army Regulation (AR) 40-3, Medical, Dental, and Veterinary care.Utilize short-term and long-term care models, patient and provider consultation models, and education in conjunction with the DoD CPGs to address behavior health (BH) concerns and medical conditions related to BH needs of the service members.Provide BH screening, assessment, and direct care specialty referral to service members.Serve as a BH referral resource and subject matter expert in BH-related programs to the MTF staff, medical staff in primary care clinics, and other on-post medical settings such as BH Clinics and Soldier Readiness Processing (SRP) locations.Assess and resolve complex social, economic, and psychosocial problems that may impact the service members' medical treatment as outpatients by providing BH direct services, to include screening, assessment, treatment, referral, consultation, and education.Maintain complete and accurate records and documents of all patient contactsservices provided in accordance with professional standards (AR 40-68) as well as DoD, US Army, installation, and facility-directed administrative requirements.Use initiative in carrying out recurring tasks independently without specific instructions but refer problems or unusual situations not covered by instructions to the supervisor for help. Work shall be reviewed through periodic discussions to ascertain that procedures are being followed in a manner that ensures quality patient care.Be knowledgeable and possess the skills necessary to provide care appropriate to any age-related needs of the patients.
