Summary:The Cook County Treasurer's Office is seeking a highly skilled and motivated SQL Database Administrator (DBA) to join our team. As a SQL DBA, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, availability, and security of our SQL Server databases. You will work closely with our development and infrastructure teams to design, implement, and maintain database solutions that support our business operations.Job Responsibilities:Design and develop SSIS packages for data provisioning.Design complex databases and database objects.Implement highly available SQL solutions with appropriate technologies.Collaborate with development teams to manage databases and develop procedures.Monitor and optimize database performance.Deploy scripts and jobs for efficient database operations.Work with application teams to optimize performance.Analyze data anomalies and propose solutions.Develop and implement data access policies.Implement backup and restoration procedures for data recovery compliance.Preferred Knowledge, Skills, Abilities, and Other Characteristics:Preferred experience in SSAS, , C#, SQL, Batch Programming, and C++.Proficient in writing complex stored procedures and SQL queries, with additional SQL Server admin skills.Experience with SSIS and ETL proceduresmethodologies.Experience with SQL Reporting Services and SharePoint integration.Proficiency in performance tuning for SQL queries, indexes, disk IO, memory, and CPU.Experience working in clustered environments.Strong understanding of interoperability between hardware and software environments.Rapid adaptation to current database systems for effective support.Knowledgeable in data management technologiesmethodologies.Familiarity with managing SQL databases in virtualized environments.Strong documentation and communication skills.Ability to collaborate effectively with multiple teams at various levels.ExperienceEducation:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.A minimum of 3 years experience as a SQL Database Administrator in environments utilizing SQL Server 2012 and newer.
