If so, the Association to Benefit Children (ABC) is looking for a special education teacher to join the staff at Cassidy's Place (419 E 86th Street). Our Early Childhood Center in the Upper East Side is currently interviewing for a full time Special Education Teacher to head an integrated CPSEHS classroom. Hours are 8am-4pm.Responsibilities of the CPSEHS Special Education teacher include:Lesson planning, conducting assessment, and curriculum implementationMaintaining a safe, nurturing, organized learning environmentCollaborating with classroom staff and multi-disciplinary teamMaintaining accurate and timely classroom recordsdocumentationQualifications of the CPSEHS Special Education teacher:Being joyous with children and maintaining high standards, non-negotiableONE of the following NYS Certifications: Special Education Teacher (permanent), Special Educator: Students with Disabilities (Birth-2), Permanent Special Education CertificateExperience with birth-age 3 populationsMust work well with children and families through EI processesBilingual (EnglishSpanish) preferredFor eligible borrowers, ABC is a qualifying employer for public service loan forgiveness as a non-profit organization.
